Recently I was drawn into the idea of 'vegan leather' after reading a Free People catalogue online. Suddenly I felt as though pleater and vegan leather were dissimilar. Of course I was wrong, but I was drawn into the idea that I was doing the right thing by purchasing this beautiful skirt that appeared to be leather with a PETA attitude behind it all.
The end result? My bank account is better for it, but I will never be able to replace the feel of soft leather that generally only comes with a big investment. Owning both seems to pay off in the end and I can still afford lunch. Win win.
